Pomena - Island Mljet

Since it is far away from central Dalmatian islands, it is more quiet then other islands (similar like Lastovo). 

Pomena is beautiful natural bay located on the west side of island Mljet. In the centre of the Pomena, there are several konobas (taverns) located just on the waterfront and offering free mooring (some of them are offering electricity/ and water as well).
You will enjoyed in beautiful nature walking to small salt lake - which is 15 minutes away from Pomena waterfront. There are 2 beautiful salt lakes on island Mljet - small lake (Malo jezero) and big lake (Veliko jezero). 
You can take opportunity to swim in beautiful salt lake or rent a bike and take a ride on the top of the island.

Pomena looks small, but in the central street 5 minutes away from waterfront there are 2 small mini markets, bike & scooter rental agencies, and several coffee bar. Also there is hotel with wellness and spa so some of your crew members may relax there if they prefer this than trekking or biking.
Pomena is also great for swimming - especially left part of the bay (left when entering bay with the boat).

We have moored next to konoba kod Nine and have enjoyed fresh fish. Owner is catching fish daily and our dinner arrived shortly after we moored - so we have just chosen our meal when it was still alive ;)
Kod Nine has also great starters as tuna in olive oil (home prepared) and various fish starters. 

Pomena is also great spot for having morning coffee, offering quiet relaxation in beautiful nature. 
You can include Mljet and Pomena in your one week south sailing route - starting from our Base Noa Yachting Marina Kaštela, or if you have more time, and sailing with us for two weeks - we recommend visiting other spots on beautiful Mljet as well.
